After accusing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of dropping an F-Bomb in the House of Commons on Wednesday, many people there started blasting him for using such unparliamentary language. Conservative House leader John Brassard did not explicitly say what word was at first only describing it as “not fuddle duddle.”
Normally this would have been a great time to lay into the opposing party leader, if for nothing more than scoring political points but something happened that changed Brassard’s mind a little. He saw a Liberal MP drop a $20 bill in Parliament’s swear jar.
“He just said Fucker!!” Brassard yelled and saw a fellow conservative MP throw in a $20 on his behalf for saying the word as well.
House Deputy Speaker Chris D’Entremont asked if anyone else heard Trudeau say ‘fucker’ before realizing he just swore too. “Damn,” he said after realizing it and then was forced to put in $40.00.
With the cash in the jar climbing quickly, everyone in the House started swearing like the truckers that they kicked out of Ottawa. They were calling each other every profane name in the book, sometimes using 3 different swears in one thought. Once the jar was full, the place settled down quite a bit before they began their usual level of yelling using more passive-aggressive language.
When the time came to decide what the money in the swear job would be spent on, the fighting began again. The conservatives wanted to invest it in cryptocurrency, the NDP wanted to put it all on red at a roulette table and when everyone looked at the now-empty jar, Trudeau informed them he had already given it to some family members.
