After doing everything in his power to lose in the upcoming provincial election, Steven Del Duca has already lined up his next job in the event those efforts pay off. He was named the new host of The Apprentice after NBC executives caught wind of his affinity for firing people.
With no background in television or any other profession, NBC was skeptical at first that he has what it takes to really judge somebody else’s work and then make the tough decision about keeping them or firing them. The fact that he hasn’t fired his entire candidate vetting crew was their deepest concern but after firing Chatham-Kent-Leamington’s liberal candidate Alec Mazurek, the third firing this week, NBC knew they has to scoop this guy up and now. They realize that he can’t fire people all day every day and that the vetting crew will be gone by week’s end.
This will mark the third different host for the Apprentice brand following Donald Trump and Arnold Schwarzenegger giving it a new, fresh, stripped-down version. The will be no flashy, rich real estate tycoon feel or a macho feel to it this time around. This will just be your average Joe going around firing people. Gone will be the famous “You’re Fired” tagline and instead an assistant will text the contestants that they are no longer needed.
The season will begin shooting on June 3rd and is expected to air sometime in 2051 when they can find a complete staff who hasn’t uttered the “B” word.
